LAFC finally comes home

SANTA MONICA, Calif. – Soccer fans in Los Angeles couldn’t be more happy as the new MLS expansion team makes its way home this weekend. After weeks on the road, LAFC will host it’s first home game at Banc of California Stadium on Sunday night.   Guess who they are playing?  That’s right.  The first game LAFC will  play at the new stadium will be played against the same team LA FC opened their inaugural season, the Seattle Sounders.

While the Seattle will have a chance at revenge, LAFC will be working at bouncing back from a rough couple weeks on the season and defending its home turf for the first time. The only question is will they mark their territory or be defeated for the first time at home?

The Sounders took no mercy on LAFC the first time around, recording 22 shots on the night and seven on frame. Fortunately for LA, Seattle couldn’t find the back of the net to get the upper hand. LAFC had much to prove that night and managed to find a goal in the 11th minute by Diego Rossi.

LAFC will be showing off it’s stadium in style Sunday night. The home team has lined up an exquisite menu of food options for this event including but not limited to Beer Belly Burgers, Bludso’s BBQ and Pizza. The stadium offers a wide variety of seating options starting at $22 a ticket for a 22,000 capacity. Uniquely LAFC offers the first-of-it’s-kind rail seating to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for attendees.
